Find out who the Presenters of the Month were, what jobs are going where and everything else you need to stay informed at Elevate.
Oz
Presenter of the Month for June in Aus goes to the one and only James Padley.
Pads worked with over 1100 students in June and maintained a student feedback score of 99.4% and an extremely impressive teacher feedback average of 4.94! Qualitatively, we also received some (typically) unbelievable feedback about Pads across the month, including this cracker:
We always receive positive feedback about your presenters but I just wanted to provide some glowing feedback from our staff about James from today.
As I came out of a meeting and walked into our lunch room today, the two staff who attended the Elevate seminars (teachers who have attended many of the Elevate seminars in the years past) were raving about how good James was, the connection he made with the students and how engaged they were in the presentation. This was added to as one of the Integration Aides walked into the room. It was such a wonderful conversation to walk in and hear!
I just wanted to let you know and hope that you can please pass this onto James and thank him for making such an impression today" - Geelong Lutheran College
Great work Pads!!
At the end of June, Oz launched Elevate’s first philanthropic project! The initiative relates to a big part of Elevate’s Why – “Invest in Our Community”, and this project was designed to help us reach kids in Australia in remote, under-resourced areas. This first stage saw the navy polo going places it had never been before, when three members of the Oz team headed to the Northern Territory!
Lachie Craig from Team Vic, Matt Gover from Team QLD and Lachie Oreo from the office team flew to Darwin, and drove (through a bushfire!??) 300km inland to spend two days with the kids at Katherine High School.
Matt delivered the seminars, helping with everything from breaking down Year 7 assignments, to goal setting and career paths for kids with low levels of literacy. Lachie Oreo worked with the teachers to build the follow up program, which will have students putting the skills Matt taught them into practice across the rest of the year. Lachie Craig, one of our 1:1 Coaching Consultants, ran diagnostic interviews with ten students across the two days, finding out their strengths and areas for improvement. With all the information Lachie collected, coaches from Team VIC and Team NSW will work with these ten students to run tailored digital coaching programs over the coming months.
As well as keeping in touch with the staff and kids at Katherine High School, the Oz team are now looking for the next schools to work with, as well as the presenters to come along on the journey! Keep an eye out for more details coming soon!
Finally, a reminder that Australia are currently looking for a Business Development Manager and a Client Services Manager. If either role sounds interesting, then click on the links to find out more.
Singapore:
It’s school holidays, so no news! But here is a photo of Singapore:
South Africa:
June was a quiet month of seminars with exams taking place, but our two Presenter of the Month winners are Gauteng Team Leader Njabulo Buthelezi for getting some fantastic feedback from the sessions he ran at LEMS in Botswana, and Kaila Fourie for jumping on a session at late notice at Franschhoek High School which was sponsored by the Rupert Foundation. Not only did Kaila jump onto the seminar at late notice, but she presented it in Afrikaans!!!
We are back into the swing of things for Term 3 and will soon be running EOTDs around the country. Look out for more information! This term we will also be getting the ball rolling on the Philanthropic Project we will be implementing in Term 4, as well as working towards our first ever Annual Awards event at the end of the year.
Our new Head of 1-1 Coaching, Phehello Makgoe, started in the office on Monday 22nd July. We are really excited to have Phehello join the office and focus on growing the coaching business!
In line with our commitment to creating opportunities for our presenters, we are advertising for the Head of HR role to commence in the position at the start of October. Please click here for the role description which provides an outline of the roles and responsibilities, as well as a specification for the kind of person we are looking for. Please let me know if you have any questions or would be interested in applying for the position.
UK
With the onset of school holidays, things are beginning to wind down in the UK as well, but there is still one last Presenter of the Month to celebrate before the end of the academic year! A massive shout-out to Abi Ruddock from Team Manchester – whilst it was a close race to the top with a number of presenters hitting the 100% benchmark, Abi has recorded the most amount of seminars during that time!
Also, don’t forget that Team UK are still looking for a BDM position to be filled by September. If you have been waiting for an opportunity to come on board full-time, here it is! Find out more here.

A massive shout-out to Presenter of the Month for June - Sean Davis!!! Sean had an excellent June, smashing out 11 seminars at 99.75% feedback, including some cracking testimonials:
Q210 student: “100 stars – not only did I learn a lot but Sean was just perfect – best presenter ever. Sean was amazing.”
X367 student: “I would rate this overall program as a 1000 because Mr Sean made it very interesting and is a cool guy. Mr Sean has been the best Elevate teacher that I had.”
X367 student: “It was great – showing and telling us what to do, how to react towards certain exam situations and not to give up on certain questions. I learned how to set goals, take feedback on board, and how to plan an answer.”
Finally, a quick note on Presenter Recruitment. We are still on the hunt for more presenters to start in the fall! If you know someone who you think would be an awesome addition to the Elevate presenting team, please let David know ASAP – shoot him a Slack message with that person’s contact information – he will take it from there!
