Who were the presenters of the month for March? What's new in each SBU? Read on to find out!

Oz

Its been another massive month in Oz, with the presenting team growing to 215 presenters who worked with 300,000 students across March. Leading the way on the presenter front is Gracie Edwards, one of our TLs from Western Australia, who managed an average of 100% across the month. Amazing work Gracie! An honorable mention also has to go out to Vic TL James Padley who just passed the 1400 seminar mark in March, a feat which is all the more remarkable as the seminars have been presented across an Elevate record of 6 different countries! Great work Pads!!!

Team WA

In other news it has been a massive month for the Oz Coaching business. In March we worked with a record number of families and kicked off an internal program at Copperfield College for a group of their underperforming students. But the best story of the month in coaching comes from Peta Petidis. Peta started working with a VCE student in Victoria, whose mother was extremely skeptical, thinking that her daughter was unlikely to get anything out of the program. Peta started the program, and both the daughter and the mother were so happy that they extended from 4 to 8 weeks, and then 12 weeks, and they have now asked Peta to work with them through to the end of the VCE. This is an amazing indicator of the level of value that students (and their families) take out of the program. Great work Peta!

Finally, as many of you will know, in 2018 Elevate announced that we would contribute 2.5% of our profits to philanthropic education projects around the world. In Term 4 last year, we had hundreds of clients and presenters vote on 3 different projects, of which the funding of seminars for indigenous students in remote communities was selected. The team is currently finalizing plans to roll out the project in Term 4 with schools located in the Northern Territory and rural Queensland. Over the next month we are going to be looking for presenters to be involved; if you are interested, contact Phoebe at phoebe@elevateeducation.com and let her know.

Singapore

Team Singapore recently had their EOTD and announced both the Presenter of the Month for March and Presenter of the Term. Let’s start with the Presenter of the Month, where we had a two-way tie between Ryo Yamamoto and Emil Lim who both scored perfect 100s for March. This meant that Ryo just managed to edge Emil by 0.05 for Presenter of the Term on 99.55 versus Emil’s 99.5. Congrats to both Ryo and Emil on a massive term! Finally, an honorable mention to Nathaniel Mah who came in third for the term and also took out Team Leader’s Choice. Great work Nathaniel.

Team Singapore

South Africa

Things have continued at pace in South Africa over March where the team has delivered 295 seminars across 5 countries to more than 20,000 students. Again, the team has been led by Danielle Retief who for the second month in a row has managed to maintain a 100% record. Go Danielle!

Danielle - Presenter of the month...again!

In other news, the SA team continues to lead the way in the Corporate Sustainability space, releasing our impact report on the work we have done with Investec and Toyota at a range of under-privileged schools. Highlights included work done at Kelokitso High School in Soweto (sponsored by Investec), where the Grade 12 pass rate increased by 17.5%. At Ogwini Technical High School in Umlazi (sponsored by Toyota), the Grade 8 pass rate increased by 15.4% and the Grade 10 pass rate increased by 19.3%! Amazing work team SA!

Just like in Oz, the coaching business continues to move from strength to strength under the able guidance of Dan ‘Coach Carter’ Coetsee. The coaching team continues to rapidly grow, with new coaches being recently trained in the Eastern Cape, Free State, and Gauteng. A massive shout out to Brendan Allan for running these trainings, which have required a lot of travel as well as giving up time on his weekend. We are going to be back recruiting again for more coaches in the Western Cape, so if you interested in parlaying your seminar skills into working one-on-one with students, then contact Dip at adam@elevateeducation.com.

The UK

March is always a crazy month for Team UK as we hit exam preparation season for GCSE and A-level students, and this March was no different. Seminars were conducted with 150 schools and 25,000 students. A massive shout-out goes out to Luke2 (aka Luke Kelly and Luke Meehan), both from Team Northwest, who managed straight hundreds for the month. Amazing stuff guys!

Like Oz and SA, coaching continues to gather a head of steam with some great pieces of feedback coming in for our coaches across March. Shout-outs to Namir and Emma who received this cracking feedback.

· Please can you pass on my grateful thanks to Namir. He has clearly already changed James’ mindset and made him more cheery about the whole process and, as far as we are concerned, that reduction of worry and stress is the most important element. He is just the medicine and mentoring James needed.

· It’s going really well. Iona is loving it and finding it extremely useful. I can see this is going to make a big difference to her. Emma is brilliant - so lovely and very enthusiastic and engaging.

Also, a reminder that Team UK are on the hunt for 2 ambitious guns to join the team. In particular, we are looking for an Operations Manager (responsible for managing the accounts, payroll, and general day-to-day operations within the office), as well as a Business Development Manager (responsible for helping grow the company’s client base). If you want to know more about either role, click here.

Team New York

To continue the theme, Team NY has just wrapped up the biggest month in the business’ history, conducting 986 seminars to over 20,000 students. Whilst feedback was sensational across the board, a massive shout-out goes out to Brian Stewart who managed hit a 100% feedback rating across 21 schools. Great stuff Brian! It seems Brian made an especially big impact at Mark Twain school where the students developed this shrine to Elevate and Brian!

The school year hasn’t finished yet, but Team NY is gearing up for what we already know will be an even bigger year in 2019-20. As such, we are already on the hunt for more rockstar presenters. If you know anyone who you think could be interested in the role, or who you think will be a fantastic fit, please just let Rob know and he will take care of the rest in setting them up for an interview!
