Who are our Presenters of the Month? What’s new across each office? Any jobs up for grabs? Read on to find out!
Team Oz
Kicking off as ever with Australia, our Presenter of the Month for BOTH September AND October was... ELORA from TEAM QUEENSLAND!!! Elora had an average feedback score of 98.8% across the two months and straight 5s for teacher feedback across all 25 seminars. Insane stuff Elora - great work!!!
Things continue to be exciting in the office, where we have a NEW TEAM MEMBER! A huuuuuuge welcome to Jas Stiff, our new OM! Jas started as a presenter in VIC at the beginning of this year, is passionate about linguistics and body pump, and is already showing a penchant for excellence by speeding up the ranks in rondo (she’s already overtaken both Ariane and Kel). Great to have you here Jas!
And that begs the question… WHERE IS LINA GOING?! Never fear, she’s not going far – I’m EXTREMELY excited to announce that our new Program Coordinator for Victoria is none other than Lins. Lina has worked exceptionally hard and been outstanding in her time as an OM and I can’t wait to see her work her magic with teachers in Vic.
Finally, in the spirit of getting ready for February, Kel has been hiring presenters left, right and centre over the past few weeks, and we’ve already added over 70 (!!!!) people to the team, with more to come. The Australian presenting body and coaching body combined will likely have reached 300 by the end of the year which is INSANE!! So excited to have every new person on board in the run up to our biggest year ever in 2020.
Team Singapore
It’s been a quieter September and October for schools in Singapore as it is the busy exam period! However, we were fortunate enough to have Jess Soulsby from the UK team spend 2 weeks with the team and deliver seminars across Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia. She did a cracking job achieving a feedback average of 99.8% across all her seminars and the high point came from a school in Indonesia called ACS Jakarta. The contacts were raving about Jess sending us comments like “The students and parents really enjoyed meeting and learning from Jess. She is wonderful and her talks were amazing – the students loved her. In fact, just before she left with her luggage some G6 students said hi and one clinged onto her!” Picture below – it’s fair to say Jess was high in demand and she took out the presenter of September and October, just pipping Megan Good who had a stellar 99.58% for her trip.
In other news, we had the pleasure of presenting at Singapore’s highest performing school called Nanyang Girls High School and Ryo smashed it out of the park, achieving the perfect 100% feedback across the 2 sessions. Well done Ryo!
And finally, we are excited to introduce our newest full-time staff member, Jolene! Jolene passed our 4-stage interview process (we put her through the ringer) with flying colours and beat out over 150+ applicants to join us as Head of 1 to 1 Coaching and Recruitment at Elevate! Jolene is originally from Singapore and before joining Elevate, she graduated rom Yale-NUS College having studied Chemistry and Literature.
Jolene has had a fantastic start and has been booking diagnostics for coaches left right and centre (she’s already at 130% of her target), while conducting lots of interviews for coaches and presenters, growing the team to a whopping 60! Welcome on-board Jolene and so pumped to have you here!
Team South Africa
The Presenter of the Month for September and October is an Elevate South Africa veteran, the old bull himself Anthony Tanzer. Ant received 100% student feedback from his 17 seminars. Well done mate!
There has been a lot happening in South Africa over the last few months. On a people front Danielle Retief has officially joined the office team as the new Head of Talent. Danielle will be responsible for the recruitment, training and development of presenters. We have also hired our first ever specialist coaches in PE - a big welcome to Ayabonga, Muhluri, Zola and Nomtha! We will soon be revealing some very exciting news about the final piece of the office jigsaw puzzle, the new Account Manager, who will be starting in January. Watch this space...
It has been a quieter period of seminars as schools move into exams. This is always a really exciting time as the students implement the skills we have taught them across the year, and we get to hear some amazing stories from schools and parents about their students' results. I have been busy organising schools' programs for 2020, and Andre and Mark have been on the road meeting with new schools who are keen to integrate the program next year. Although the year is winding down the fun hasn't stopped - we have our first ever Annual Awards event taking place in Cape Town on Friday 29th November. A huge congratulations to the winners of the Presenter of the Year in each province (Edward in the Western Cape; Kabs in the Free State; Njabs in Gauteng; Siya in KZN and Brett in the Eastern Cape) as well as the Top 5 Leaders of the Year (Brendan, Candice, Danielle, Yolisa and Nwabisa). Congrats to everyone and bring on the National Awards!
Team UK
A massive shout-out to the Presenters of the Month for September and October…Luke who didn't drop a single stat in September, and Joe who notched up a 99.55 October. Great work Luke and Joe.
In terms of the office, we've had an exciting few months with a number of new faces joining us. We're lucky enough to have had Jack Beresford and Luke Kelly join our full time team in the Operations and Business Development roles respectively. Both Jack and Luke were former team leaders in the North West and West Midlands and have made fantastic additions to our team since the beginning of the new academic year. We also welcomed some more Aussies into our office in the way of veteran BDM's, Lachlan Oreo and Elliot Newman. Elliot and Lachy joined us from the Australian office and have taken up positions as BDMs. It's been great to not only have their wealth of experience, but also hear a few more Aussie accents! Welcome to the team!
Team NY
Team NY's Presenter of the Month for September was Carlos Moreno!
Carlos presented 16 seminars, 50% of which were seminars delivered in fluent Spanish, averaging a cool 99.5% for the month. We really appreciate all the hard work, travel and effort that Carlos has been putting in to help the kids across both General Ed and ELL classrooms this month and think he deserves to be celebrated!
Meanwhile, Presenter of the Month for October was Stephanie Igbiniova. Stephanie started with the Elevate US team in September, as has been a huge hit in the classroom since seminar number 1, presenting 18 seminars across the month of October. We’ve been receiving especially glowing praise from the fantastic work that Stephanie has been doing during her integrated co-teaching (ICT) and self-contained classrooms, which require a high degree of care and attention in order to deliver well. We are all incredibly thankful for the hard work and effort that Stephanie has been putting in, and we’re looking forward to the excellent feedback she will no doubt continue to receive from schools into the future!
A massive welcome to the newest Business Development Manager for Brooklyn – Sean Davis. Sean started with Elevate at the beginning of 2019 as a presenter, and has gone from strength to strength. So far in his first month in the office, Sean has really hit the ground running, and we’re incredibly excited about the expertise and energy he is going to bring to the office team, and to schools across the borough of Brooklyn.
Finally, last key thing to know we have our Elevate holiday party coming up on Friday December 6! Make sure you are there and SAVE THE DATE!
