For our Northern Hemisphere offices, school has closed for the year, which can mean one thing: End of Year Awards!
For the first year ever, each country is closing off the year by awarding a National Presenter, Team Leader, and Office Member of the Year Award. What’s at stake you ask? Well, firstly and most obviously, the kudos that comes with being the highest performer of the year. However, if glory isn’t enough for you, then each winner also earns themselves a ticket to the Global Awards in Florence this August. Australia was the first country to book their place in Florence, with Fisher Day (Australian Presenter of the Year), Eliza Eady (Australian TL of the Year) and Elliot Newman (Australian Office Member of the Year) all locked in for a few days of exploration, education, and eating! The question is, who will be joining them?
New York Award Winners
In NY this question was answered at the National Awards on Friday 28th June, where Team NY hosted an awesome day of learning and celebration. The evening was capped off with the announcement of 2018-2019 Award winners who were:
· Presenter of the Year: Devonte Gilchrist
· Team Leader of the Year: Yazmi Miah
· Office Member of the Year: Tabel Reyes
Massive shout-out to Devonte, Yazmi, and Tabel! We look forward to seeing you guys in Florence!
UK Award Winners
Team UK followed hot on the heels of Team NY, hosting their National Awards last week, where our top performers from around the UK joined us for another day of festivities. A massive shout-out to the respective UK territory Presenters of the Year:
London: Ben Gosling
Liverpool: Luke Meehan
Manchester: Mo Elkossi
Birmingham: Sarah Hartley
Bristol: James Sidwell
Just like the Highlander though, there can only be one National Presenter of the Year, which for 2018-2019 went to….Mo Elkossi! Mo, congratulations on a massive year.
Our amazing group of top presenters were joined by an equally amazing set of Team Leaders of the Year, composed of:
London: Joe McCardle
Liverpool: Luke Kelly
Manchester: Holly Manning
Birmingham: Jack Beresford
Bristol: Megan Good
The inaugural UK Team Leader of the Year was Luke Kelly! A massive congratulations to Luke for some inspirational leadership and culture building across the year.
Finally, joining Mo and Luke in Florence will be Tyler ‘Ty-Ty’ Harding, voted by his peers as UK Office Member of the Year.
Congratulations to everyone who attended the awards and, equally, a massive thank you and acknowledgement to all those who didn’t make it to the National Awards this year but who did a stellar job and went above and beyond. Thank you for all your hard work, dedication, and commitment. You may not have got an award this year, but you are all legends in our eyes.
Hey, what about me in Singapore / South Africa?
If you are reading this in Singapore or South Africa and wondering: “Hey, what about me???”, don’t worry. You haven’t been forgotten. The Singapore and SA National Awards will be hosted in December this year and, whilst the winners will not be going to Florence, you will have your seat booked for an equally exciting and exotic venue in 2020 at the 2nd Annual Global Awards!
Now though, the question is: Who will be crowned as the Global Presenter, TL, and Office Member of the Year? Watch this space next month to find out!!!
