Today, we’ll be taking a look at one of our newest investments: a revision timetabling app called Adapt, designed to help students sitting UK exams plan out their exam preparation study.
Many students know that they need to have some sort of revision plan in place when it comes to preparing for exams, but this can be easier said than done. Students can encounter a number of issues with traditional revision planning methods:
1. They’re not 100% sure that their plan covers everything they’ll need to know for the exam.
2. They’re not sure what to do when they come across a topic on their plan that they don’t understand.
3. If they miss a session or day at school, it messes up their entire timetable.
These are the problems that Adapt looks to solve. By mapping all GCSE and A Level curriculum content, Adapt does the hard work for students. After inputting their exam dates, the app works out how long there is between now and the assessment and automatically divides up revision for all subjects across the curriculum and puts it into a structured, easy-to-follow timetable. This ensures that nothing gets missed off the list and enables students to walk into the exam hall knowing they’ve covered everything in the paper.
But Adapt doesn’t stop there. Not only does it map out the content, but it also uses evaluations to
determine how comfortable a student is with a certain topic or subject, flagging the areas where more work is needed. Students can then watch the tutoring videos to help improve their confidence in these areas, helping them to address weaker areas as and when they arise, rather than forgetting about them.
With AI technology, Adapt automatically updates the timetable if sessions are missed, allowing students to get back on track with study straight away without having to make a load of tedious changes to their timetable.
This app is a game-changer for helping students get organised for exams and saves valuable time that could be spent getting to grips with the exam content itself.
The app is already hugely popular and has amassed a huge student user base purely through word of mouth - 20-30% of the students surveyed at client schools were already using it without any direct advertising from the company, a testament to the value it’s offering.
With apps like TikTok and Instagram posing a real threat to students’ ability to focus on schoolwork, it’s great to see something like this on the market that makes it easier for them to work towards their goals and boost exam confidence.
